June 19th is World Sickle Cell Day and it is marked annually globally. Towards events to mark World Sickle Cell Day 2022, SCHAF held a Press Conference on Sickle Cell Disease on Tuesday 14th June, 2022 at Ibadan Civic Centre, Idi Ape Ibadan, Oyo State.
The Press Conference was themed "Community Participation: A Key To Achieving Equity Reducing The Burden Of Sickle Cell Disease in Nigeria". The audience featured members of press, print media, radio stations, TV Stations, Head of Religious Organisations, Schools of Health Sectors, Oyo State Ministries of Health, Secondary Healthcare &Training, Academia, SCD Patients and the general public were present to listen to lectures and press engagement on Sickle Cell Disease.
