SCHAF PLANTING KNOW YOUR GENOTYPE (KYG) CLUBS IN OYO STATE

SCHAF commenced a pilot program of planting KNOW YOUR GENOTYPE (KYG) clubs in Secondary Schools in Oyo State from May/June 2023. The program has enjoyed the active participation of the Oyo State NYSC under the support of the Oyo State Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education. KYG clubs thus established so far include:

1. Command Day Secondary School:                                         16th May, 2023
2. Community High School, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria:             19th May, 2023
3. Oba Adeyemi High School, Oyo town, Oyo State, Nigeria:           23rd May, 2023
4. Government Technical College, Iseyin, Oyo State, Nigeria:           1st June, 2023
5. Ogbomosho High School, Ogbomosho, Oyo State, Nigeria:           22nd June, 2023

The KYG Clubs are harbingers of greater things to come, catching them young, towards propagating awareness for the prevention of SCD in Oyo State.
