SCHAF Brings Sickle Cell Disease Message to Mother Union Conference at the Cathedral of St. Paul's Okutapemo, Oke Igbagbo, Iseyin, Oyo State

On Saturday, June 8, 2024, the Sickle Cell Hope Alive Foundation (SCHAF) presented vital information on Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) at the Cathedral of St. Paul's Okutapemo, Oke Igbagbo, Iseyin, Oyo State. The event was hosted under the guidance of the Diocesan Bishop, Rt. Rev. Collin O. Babalola, and the Diocesan President, Prof. Mrs. Chinedum Babalola.

This one-day Mother Union Conference featured a keynote presentation by SCHAF’s Founder and Trustee, Prof. Mrs. Adeyinka Falusi, titled "Sickle Cell Disease: A Community Approach to Reducing the Burden." Her address highlighted the crucial role of community involvement in alleviating the impact of SCD.

The SCHAF team was represented by the President and Founder, Prof. Mrs. Adeyinka Falusi, the Director of Operations, Mr. Abayomi Odetunde, the Project Officer, Mr. Emmanuel O. Ogunwole, and team members Miss Victoria Olatunde and Mr. Iskeel Akande. They engaged the audience with insightful discussions on SCD awareness, early diagnosis, and effective management strategies.
