On JULY 9TH , 2024, SCHAF visited Ogbomosho high school The “Know Your Genotype” (KYG) program,
organized by the Sickle Cell Hope Alive Foundation (SCHAF), concluded with a
rounding-up event and award presentation at Ogbomoso High School on July 9,
2024. The event commenced at 12:15 PM with an opening prayer led by the Vice
Principal Academics of the school.
Mr. Abayomi Odetunde introduced SCHAF and
its staff. The Vice Principal Administration gave the welcoming address.
Corper Awosile Ayomide Adelaja provided an
overview of the KYG activities in the school.
Professor Falusi delivered a lecture on the
importance of knowing one’s genotype, emphasizing its role in preventing sickle
cell disease.Mrs. Ojerinde Oyedunni, the Local Government Inspector, presented
awards. Adepoju Tijesunimi received the award for the overall best student of
the KYG club, while Olu Gift was awarded as the best Corper.
